Due to the COVID-19 emergency, all eligible Connecticut residents are allowed to vote by absentee ballot.
Anyone who has voted in the past four years will be mailed an absentee ballot application. Once you receive an application, fill it out and send it back to receive your ballot. It is recommended that all applications should be returned by July 15th. All ballots must be returned to your town clerk's office by August 11th at 8:00 pm in order to be counted as an official vote.
If you have not voted in the past four years or don’t receive an absentee application by July 1st, you can download an application online at the CT Secretary of State website. Polling locations will remain open on election days. They will be kept clean and secure according to the Secretary of State’s voting plan.
